Warzone 2.0 can now be preloaded on Battle.Net, but the process to go around it can be confusing. Warzone 2.0 is clubbed together with Modern Warfare 2 since the release date for MW2 Season 1 and Warzone 2 fall on the same date. Before the actual launch, you can preload Warzone 2 with or without Modern Warfare 2. In this guide, we will see how to preload Warzone 2.0 on Battle.net.
How to Preload Warzone 2.0 on Battle.Net
You can now preload Warzone 2.0 on Battle.net with or without loading Modern Warfare 2. Here we will see how to go about it.

Battle.net players can preload Warzone 2 by launching Battle.net first and clicking on the Modern Warfare 2/ Warzone 2 tab on top. If you cannot find it, click on the + next to the game titles on top and select MW2/ Warzone 2 to add it to your favorites list. You can even head over to the All Games tab on top, select the Activision option on the left, and select Warzone 2.
- If you have Modern Warfare 2 installed, you will have to click on the gear option beside the blue Play/ Update button on the bottom left.
- Once you click on the gear icon, select the Modify Install option.
- A new window will pop up showing the Game Content, select the Modify install option beside it again.
- This will give you a list of DLC that will be added to MW2, which includes Warzone 2. You can select the ones you want, then click on the Confirm button.
- If you do not have Modern Warfare 2, you will find a blue Pre-Install button on the bottom left after selecting MW2/ Warzone 2 in the game library.
- This will give you a pop-up of all the game content it will download. If Warzone 2 is not ticked, you should enable it.
- After that, click on Confirm to start the download.
Can Warzone 2 be Preloaded on Steam?
Currently, Warzone 2 does have a preload button on Steam when you visit the Steam Library and select the game, but the preload does not show up when you log into Modern Warfare 2. You can still check the DLC content under Modern Warfare 2 and find Warzone 2 preloaded, but you will have to wait for the actual release date to know if Warzone 2 is integrated into MW2 as an update.
