Use the Workforce Slider
Select a District and you will find the information panel appear. Over here, you can increase and decrease the Workforce Slider. If you want to decrease the production of a particular district, you can move the slider to decrease the workforce. Or else you can move the slider to the increased position and increase your workforce in the process. You can also manage your workforce throughout other districts. If you want to increase food production, you can decrease the workforce of another district and make workers migrate to the Food District to faster production of food
Implementing Laws
There are a few laws you can put in place to increase population and, in turn, increase the amount of citizens joining the workforce. Below are all the laws you can research to get this to happen
- Childhood: Council – Society. Family Apprenticeship
- Goods: Council – Survival. Mass-Produced Goods
- New Work Model: Machine Attendants. First, research this from Idea Tree: Resources, then implement it as a law under Council: Survival. You need to pass through Progress a bit since this is a Radical Idea
- Outsiders: Council: City. Allow Productive Outsiders
- Parenthood: Research Communal Parenthood under Idea Tree: Society, then implement it as law under Council: Society
- Youth: Research “Youth – Dutiful Youth” from Idea Tree: Society first then implement it as law under Council: Society
- Worker Shifts: Research Machine-Centric Shifts under Idea Tree: Resources, then implement it as law under Council: Survival
Increasing Population
Now that you have a few laws in place, you can increase the population exponentially to increase your Workforce. Your population will automatically grow if you meet all their needs and provide a stable enough environment to multiply. You can also increase population by having the right buildings like Hospitals and providing incubators
Implementing Transport Hubs
Most of your workforce will be scrambling to procure and transport goods and materials from one district to another. All that can be avoided if you have the Air Transport Hubs under Idea Tree: Hubs implemented. That way, your workforce can be evenly distributed to work on other districts, freeing up the workload
Focus on Health and Diseases
Diseases will be rampant if you don’t have your society under control. There are tons of external factors that can make your population sick and, in turn, decreasing the workforce. Building hospitals and implementing laws to tackle and prevent diseases is the way to go
Increasing Production Efficiency
This may not increase your workforce, but would rather increase the work production with the amount of workforce you have. This focuses more on resource production especially if you have a lesser workforce in certain districts. Emergency Shifts are another way of increasing productivity, but it can come at a cost of losing Trust. You might need to implement certain laws and ideas to increase productivity, which are as follows
- Basic Necessities: Council: City – Paid Essentials Law
- Waste Heat Conversion: Research Heat Overclocking from the Idea Tree: Resources and implement it as a Law under Council: Survival
- Rail Hubs: Idea Tree – Hubs
