Sons of the Forest is a survival horror game that amps up surviving and horrors. Surviving means making traps, acquiring weapons, food and water. And it does so not only in case of the game and its atmosphere that includes dark tunnels, that will traumatize people with claustrophobia, monsters that will give you nightmares, hordes of hungry cannibals, sharks that will dig out that buried fear from the days of Subnautica and a lot more, but also with its quests. That being said, you would definitely need a pistol to deal with the abominations that lurk in various corners in the island. And what better way to make survival easier than to enhance the firearms with attachments. One of these is the Pistol rail.
Now how do you go about finding the pistol rail? Worry not. This article will help you out.

Where to get the Pistol Rail in Sons of the Forest

While many things in Sons of the Forest are concealed in different locations, such as caverns and shelters, the Pistol Rail attachment is easy to locate. You must travel to the west edge of the woodland and approach the coast to obtain it. There, you must search for a body amid a collection of rocks. 

You’ll also hear music emanating from the location, making it easy to find. When you find the body, you can take the Pistol Rail extension from its hand.

If you haven’t already obtained the Pistol, you can do so near where you obtained the clip. From the location, look for a tiny orange boat in the water. You must dive to the boat and retrieve the Pistol from within. It also has a GPS tracker that you can use to highlight key locations on the map. Remember that sharks will be waiting for you in the ocean, so heal your character first if your vitality is low before swimming. You won’t make it to the ferry otherwise.

That said, it is pretty clear that you will find both the pistol and the pistol rail attachment really close to each other. Happy hunting!
