The only way you can farm Tears is by defeating Infernal Cerberus at the third biome called Mourning Fields. You will reach this place through the game’s progression, and clearing this area will help you get to Tartarus. After you have defeated Hecate and Scylla, you will encounter Cerberus. So while it does take time, this is the only way you can get tears. For each defeat, you will get only one Tear, so you need to make several runs to farm tears from Cerberus.
To use tears, you can use it to unlock Arcana Cards or for crafting the Attending a Faithful Beast Incantation. For the incantation you will also require one Wool and four Wheat along with one Tear. Using this will make your familiars perform work while they are at the Crossroads. If you have 2x Tears and 2x Bronze, you can unlock the Aspect of Moros for the Umbral Flames
