How to Get Queen’s Pheromone Gland in Gothic 1 Remake
Inside the Old Mine, you will find the Queen’s Pheromone Gland on a hidden ledge. Transform into a Bloodfly and fly up to the hidden ledge. Then transform back while standing on the flat section beside the egg. If you stand somewhere else, you will slip down and fall off the ledge.
You can also find the Queen’s Pheromone Gland by defeating the Minecrawler Queen during the The Minecrawler Nest quest in Chapter 2. After defeating the queen, loot her body to collect the gland, which can be used during the quest.
How to Beat the Minecrawler Queen
The easiest way to defeat the regular Minecrawlers is by using Overhead Slam and Uppercut attacks. As you get closer to the boss, you will notice that the cave walls begin to look different. Before entering the boss arena, heal to your full health, equip the best weapons and gear, use helpful potions, and create a manual save, so you can retry the fight if needed.
As soon as the battle starts, run to the queen’s side, as staying at her side makes it easier to avoid many of her attacks. Use Uppercut to deal ready damage. Keep attacking while watching her movements, and the first phase will complete. Once she retreats to the next room, heal yourself and recover if needed.
In the second phase, try to move as fast as possible and keep using Overhead Slam. These attacks deal good damage and can end the fight quickly. After a few heavy hits, the Minecrawler queen will be defeated.
How to Use Queen’s Pheromone Gland in Gothic 1 Remake

Give the Queen’s Pheromone Gland to Riordian or Cavalorn
After obtaining a Queen’s Pheromone Gland, you have two choices. If you hand it over to Cavalorn, as part of the quest, he will teach you how to properly harvest Queen’s Pheromone Glands, allowing you to complete the quest.
You can also sell the gland to Riordian, the Water Mage alchemist. However, you must first speak to Cavalorn, who tells you that an alchemist is interested in buying the gland. Without this conversation, Riordian will not have the buy option. Riordian offers you two rewards:

The permanent potion is generally the better reward as it will increase your health, so handing over the gland to Riordian is the best choice. If you have extra glands, you can’t use them or sell them. It is also noted that you can give the Queen’s Pheromone Gland either to Riordian or to Cavalorn; you can only give the glands to one person even if you have more.
