Beastiary of Khorinis is one of the side quests in the Gothic I Remake that helps you learn about various monsters and earn trophies from them through special harvesting skills. For this quest, you must first find all five copies of Beastiary books placed in different parts of the world, and then give them to Cavalorn, the hunter. How to Complete the Beastiary of Khorinis Quest Chain
This is a secret quest series in the Gothic 1 Remake that has special abilities for hunting and monster trophy collection. In order to collect everything, you have to gather five copies of the Beastiary books and hand them to the hunter Cavalorn for testing. He will help you to collect valuable trophies from monsters.
Beastiary of Khorinis Volume 1
This one is located close to the New Camp. Go to the entrance and then go back. There is a lake that is located nearby. Inside the house of Yann, there is a book lying on the table. Stealing the book is quite easy if you can do this during the night when Yann is sleeping.
Find Cavalorn
Deliver the book to Cavalorn, a hermit hunter near the Old Camp. Walk from the main gate of the Old Camp towards the road on the right and follow it until you come across a signpost. Move downhill from there, and you’ll soon find his cabin. After talking to him, he’ll ask you questions related to scavengers.
- Question 1: At the top of the spine.
- Question 2: Their calling becomes louder.
- Question 3: For protection of their territories.
If you answer all the questions correctly, then he’ll teach you how to harvest Scavenger Skull Plates.
Beastiary of Khorinis Volume 2
The second book can be found deep within the Old Mine. You have to enter the Old Mine and follow the main path until you get to the bigger part of the mine. Then go through the tunnel that is behind the drake and turn right. Continue climbing down the ladder and go further into the tunnel, where there will be another ladder waiting for you. Go up the ladder, and you will find an unlocked chest with Beastiary of Khorinis Volume 2 in it.
Complete the Quest
Take the book back to Cavalorn, and he will tell you to find the Minecrawler Queen Gland. You get access to this item once you have reached Chapter 2 in the story of Terraria. In order to get the gland, you need to kill the queen minecrawler while on a mission of clearing out the Minecrawler Nest in the Old Mine.
Beastiary of Khorinis Volume 3
Travel in the southern direction from the old camp area, and keep on moving till you come across a cave where there are two chests. Open the second chest to get “Beastiary of Khorinis Volume 3”. Once you read the book, Cavalorn teaches you how to get extra trophies from Lizards.
Beastiary of Khorinis Volume 4
The fourth book can be found close to the Swamp Camp. Start from the entrance of the camp, and make your way out through the big hollow tree. Follow the river’s edge and pass by the small islands. Once you’re on the other side of the islands, you’ll eventually reach a hidden hut. Sneak into the hut and grab the Beastiary of Khorinis Volume 4.
Finish the Quest
After giving the book to Cavalorn, he’ll ask you to bring him a Swamp Shark Hide and Swamp Shark Plates. Once you’ve collected both items, return to Cavalorn to unlock another hunting upgrade.
Beastiary of Khorinis Volume 5
The last book can be found only when you reach Chapter 4. As part of the main story, you will come across Xardas’ Tower. In that tower, you will come across Beastiary of Khorinis Volume 5 lying on the table. Carry it back to Cavalorn, and he’ll challenge you to hunt a legendary Frost Shadow Beast.
