In Windrose, ancient scraps are an essential resource that can be obtained through many different methods of exploration, including exploring dangerous locations and mining for materials of great scarcity. You will first have to unlock access to a specific biome, identify sites with ancient debris, and deal with aggressive foes. This guide explains where to find ancient debris and how to safely gather ancient scraps.
Find Ancient Debris in the Swamp
Ancient debris only spawns in the swamp biome, which becomes available after completing the Foothills and defeating the second boss. You can find it in undiscovered areas by looking for an ancient debris mining site that mostly looks like most of the other mining locations.
Be Careful of Enemies
You’ll often find level 12 monsters in these kinds of areas, and there are sometimes several enemies waiting to ambush you as you arrive. For safety, always take your time when exploring such areas.
Mine the Ancient Debris
Look around the site, especially in corners, to find ancient debris nodes. You can mine these to obtain ancient scraps. Clearing out enemies first can make the process easier, as you may get attacked while mining.
Note: Ancient debris does regenerate over time, although it appears in smaller amounts compared to regular ores.
