The Water Lanterns are part of a photography challenge in the Discover Japan Collection Journal, but they’re only available in Summers so it may be easy to overlook them if you are looking for them at the wrong time. Here is how you can locate the Water Lanterns and finish the challenge as quickly as possible.
Head to the Water Lantern Location
To complete the Water Lanterns photography challenge in the Discover Japan section of the Collection Journal you’ll have to find and photograph Water Lanterns located in the Shimanoyama’s region. Once you reach the marked location, you will see water lanterns right next to the gate, which is possibly known as the Torii gate. When you arrive at the location, you’ll need to look behind the gate to find Water Lanterns.
Once you are at the exact location, completing the challenge shouldn’t be too difficult. After you locate the Water Lanterns, enter Photo Mode and point your camera directly at the Water Lanterns to take a picture of them to complete the challenge.
Available Only During the Summer Season
An important point to note is that Water Lanterns are available only during the Summer Season and do not appear in Spring, so if anyone was trying to do that Photography Challenge last season, they would have been unable to finish it.
