If you have the fishing pole unlocked, there is a watering hole within Erebus where you will encounter Malti more frequently. The area that you need to visit is where Chaos resides. You would have gotten to this location if you wish to start the Chaos Trails or collect Boons from Chaos. Once you reach the realm, you will notice a watering hole right in the middle of the arena. Talk to Chaos first to access the pool, then use your fishing rod to fish. Your chances of getting Malti here is higher than usual, so spend as much time as possible to gather the fish here

Fishing can be a fast process if you have Toula the cat unlocked. She can capture fish once per night, so bringing her with you can help you farm fish much faster. You can then take whatever fish you have collected and head over to the Wretched Broker. Depending on what type of fish, you will be rewarded with bones accordingly. You can then trade these bones for ash and use it for crafting incantations.
