God of War without challenging enemies can’t be enjoyable. Generally, action-adventure games always have challenging bosses to fight with, and the God of War series is no exception. The latest game of this series, God of War Ragnarok, has multiple challenging enemies to fight with, and the presence of these enemies makes the game more challenging and thrilling.
Flame Phantom is a challenging enemy in God of War Ragnarok. Though it is not challenging to fight the enemy, there’s a twist that makes the creature unbeatable. This guide will help you know how to beat Flame Phantom in God of War Ragnarok.
Flame Phantom Beating Guide in God of War Ragnarok- How to Beat?
Flame Phantom is an enemy players encounter towards the end of the game. Though the enemy is less challenging than others, it’ll still give players a hard time beating it. As the fight begins, the first thing you notice is that the enemy doesn’t have any proper shape like the Frost Phantom. Even the fighting process of the Flame Phantom is pretty similar to the Frost Phantom.
As the Boss appears, you must hit it with your Leviathan Axe at the round glowing head-like part. There’s no other body part of the Boss that you can hit. As you hit the Boss, you’ll eventually find the white bar below the Heathbar starts increasing. It is the Stun Meter. As it is full, the Boss will be stunned for a few seconds, giving you a chance to destroy the Flame Pillars. Destroying Pillars deals massive damage to the Boss.
Now, coming to the Flame Pillars, players need to break those Flame Pillars (shown in the image below) to finally defeat the Boss. It’s not like you can break the pillars as soon as you enter the arena because the Flame Pillars appear after you deal considerable damage to the Boss. As soon as you stun the Boss, use your Axe or Spear to break the pillars. Each pillar drains a block of the boss’ health.
Of course, it won’t be as easy as it seems. The Boss will be stunned for a moment, but then it will start attacking you with AOE attacks. Though these attacks are not difficult to dodge, if you come within range, they deal a significant amount of damage. Moreover, among the three Flame Pillars, the last one is hidden. So you have to find it to kill the enemy finally.
While avoiding and hitting the Boss with your Axe and Spear, players need to look around the battle arena, and you’ll find a glowing rock (shown below) at one corner, opposite the lava pool. Stun the Boss again and hit the rock with your Spear to explode the rock to find the final Flame Pillar behind. Again, use the Spear and the explode ability to destroy the pillar. As soon as the third pillar is destroyed, the Boss will be out of health, and Kratos can easily take it down.
That’s all you need to know about how to beat Flame Phantom in God of War Ragnarok. This fight is that much difficult, but a little bit tricky for sure. As long as you know the location of the third pillar, it won’t be hard to defeat the Flame Phantom.
