Best Talisman in God of War Ragnarok

Talismans in God of War Ragnarok boost and buff Kratos’ power in combat and can come in clutch during difficult battles. Read on to find out the best Talisman in God of War Ragnarok.

God of War Ragnarok, like its predecessor God of War (2018), has plenty of mechanics that buff Kratos during combat and Talismans are one of those items he can equip to increase his damage or deal with certain specific enemies. Unlike God of War (2018), God of War Ragnarok does not have that many talismans- or maybe we just haven’t discovered them all. In this article, we’ll tell you the best talisman in God of War Ragnarok.

The Talisman of Meign in God of War Ragnarok

This talisman simply grants a bonus Melee damage to Kratos for a short duration.

You get this item early game and is one of the only actual “talismans” in God of War Ragnarok. This talisman is one of the, if not the best because you get it early game and it remains relevant throughout as most of your combat encounters will require Kratos to go melee at some point. It helps new players through their early game progression until they can learn the nitty gritty details and combat mechanics of Ragnarok.

Players may be inclined to not upgrade it early game as they might think of it as low rarity but God of War Ragnarok has done away with the rarity system so you can start levelling it up from the start as with more levels it will gain more viability and power.

How to Get The Talisman of Meign in God of War Ragnarok

The Talisman of Meign can be obtained from The Quest For Tyr which one of the earliest quests in Ragnarok (2nd). The fact that it is also part of the main story quest means that all players will automatically have access to it as long they keep progressing through the main questline.

The players are still discovering the world of Ragnarok so there’s a chance there are other Talismans in the game that have just not yet been discovered. Players are lucky to get such a strong talisman early game as it helps them overcome difficult enemies and fights to progress through the story and get even stronger thereby.

As an English Masters graduate, I always dreamt of becoming a writer as a profession. Alas! I was led astray by anime and gaming. I enjoy open-world RPGs that encourage exploration with easy but flashy combat along the way. Art and aesthetics also matter immensely to me so even in games my characters tend to stare off into space. If I’m not gaming or watching anime I’m probably just asleep and dreaming.
