Rubber is an important crafting material that you will need in Subnautica 2. To craft rubber, players must find a luminescent material known as the Lucifer Rotsack, which can be found near the starting area. This guide will help players find the location to quickly collect the Lucifer Rotsacks and craft rubber using the Fabricator.
Find Lucifer Rotsacks
Crafting rubber is easy, as long as you know what a Lucifer Rotsack is and where to find them. Finding Lucifer Rotsacks are easiest at night, because they are brightly lit up. They are located all over the surrounding area, including directly below the life pod. Their bright appearance makes it easy to spot them.
Gather the Material
Usually, the Lucifer Rotsacks are attached to flowers, so checking around glowing plants can help you find them faster. There are many Lucifer Rotsacks in the area, so it’s a good idea to collect as many as possible. The Rotsacks are available in large quantities in the area so you will not have to travel a long distance from where you start.
Craft Rubber at the Fabricator
Once you’ve collected an adequate amount of Lucifer Rotsacks, make your way back to your base and go to the Fabricator. Open the crafting menu and you will see that the lucifer sack is the only necessary crafting material for the production of rubber. After you’ve produced rubber, you can now continue with your building and survival requirements using the newly crafted rubber.
