This quest will begin when you approach the dam in The Jungle in Vanaheim, and you will need to ascend the dam. On your compass, you can follow the objective marker to get where you need to be. There is a blocked lift here that you need to use. Free it by shooting Freya’s arrow into the plants blocking it and then use Blades of Chaos. This will blow up the entrance, enabling you to take the lift.

When you are on the top of the dam, enemies will attack you so you need to clear them. Now, you need to get on the other side of the damn. To do this, look for the crack behind the boxes. Blow up the boxes and you will be able to see it. You need to use the Draupnir Spear to access the other side of the dam.

There are more enemies here that you need to clear out. Clear the wheel to get the water started by using arrows. Use one arrow at the plant on the right side of the wheel and hit it twice to expand the radius of the detonation. At the bottom of the first arrow, hit three more arrows, and one last arrow near Kratos. Use Blades of Chaos to blow it up and you will be able to use the wheel to get the water flowing. Now that the river is free again, you have completed the quest.
