To clear the Fog of War, you need to locate Barbarian Scouts. Luckily these scouts are marked on the map regardless of whether the area is shrouded in fog. The two earliest barbarian scouts you will find are the Western Rainforest Scout and the Northern Rainforest Scout. The scout’s base camp will be guarded by enemies, so bring someone with you to help you fight them. Press the Q key to scan your surroundings and spot the scout in the group

Once you find the scout, reduce their health to less than half. Be sure not to kill them, or you might have to wait for them to respawn. After reducing their health, go close to them and press E to deter them. This will help you take control of whatever information they have stored within them, thus clearing the fog of war. You can then recruit the scout or kill them since you have everything you require now.
