Can I Change Reticles in Modern Warfare 2- How to Do?

Weapons are the Key elements in Modern Warfare 2. Without them, it is impossible to survive in CoD games. If you are a veteran COD player, you might already know what a Reticle is in COD, but for the newcomers, let me tell you, reticles are the sign while aiming your gun that indicates where your bullets will hit when you fire. Reticles are of various types, but maximum times you’ll see them as red dots (image below).

How to Change Reticle in Modern Warfare 2

Reticles are a common feature introduced in Black Ops Cold War, and since then, they have continued appearing in every COD game, including Modern Warfare 2. Modern Warfare 2 has brought tons of customization options in the game, and players are now curious whether they can customize their reticles.

Unfortunately, there is no customization available for the Reticles in Modern Warfare 2. You can either play with them or turn them off. Basically, turning reticles off means turning off Crosshair. If you are confident enough about your skills, you can turn off the Crosshair. Follow the below steps to turn it off-

  1. Launch the game
  2. Click on Settings
  3. Go to Interface
  4. Scroll down to ‘Crosshairs’
  5. Turn it ‘Off.

Once you turn the Crosshair off, you can no more see the indication of where your bullets hit or whether your aim is correct or not. So, if you are a newcomer, we recommend not turning off the Crosshair. Crosshair and Reticle help you get kills. Without them, it will be difficult to aim correctly. However, skilled players can try to play without Crosshairs and Reticles. But if you want to turn it on again, follow the same process and, this time, turn Crosshair ‘On.’

That’s all you need to know about how to change Reticles in Modern Warfare 2.
