To start the quest, head over to Stardrop Inn in Vernworth to speak to Brant. You can find the captain there at night. While he does give you the Eventide Mask, you still need to collect the other parts of your outfit to blend in. You require Courtley Tunic and Courtly Breeches to blend in with the crowd, but the price for purchasing them both is exuberant. You can collect these at Philbert’s Sundries for 150000 gold, or head over to other areas to get them for free. You can find these clothing items from Allard’s Estate and Comptroller’s Home in Vernworth’s Noble Quarter. You can also find them inside Vernworth Castle’s Regentkin Sven’s Chamber, inside one of the chests. Of course, you don’t need this clothing set if you have met Wilhelmina at the palace grounds. She will hand over a card that you can use to access the inside of the castle

Now that you are equipped with the proper attire, you can head over to masquerade ball to confront the sovran. You can only attend the ball at night and only come every two nights. If you don’t find the ball happening tonight, then you can pass the time to go to the next day or day after to attend. The entire event that happens within the ball should take place at night. If the sun rises, then you have to try the entire plan again. Just follow Sovran to find out the truth and conclude the quest
