Gone Ahead Wandering Story Quest is a small but very emotional side quest from Where Winds Meet. While completing this quest, you will help a young girl called Xiao Die by providing her with some food and learning the truth about her missing father. You will travel to several places in Shenze while doing this and use the Celestial Seize skill with NPCs. This guide will tell you where to go, what to do, and the rewards you’ll earn for finishing the quest.
Gone Ahead Quest
In order to start the Gone Ahead Wandering Story quest, go to Shenze, located in the Hidden Mountain area. Proceed from the Shenze Monument Teleport and move westward until you find a crying Xiao Die next to a wooden bull.
Collect the Flatbread for the Goddess
Xiao Die will mention a Flatbread for the Goddess that her father was probably trying to bring home. You can interact with her once more to find a Give option that will show you that you will require the Flatbread quest item.
Now, to find this item, make your way to Millennium Crossing in Shenze. Walk a bit ahead and cross the wooden pier to find several people standing around in prayer garbs. One of these people will have the Flatbread mentioned by Xiao Die, so use your Celestial Seize skill to track and pick it up. Make sure you don’t get noticed while stealing the bread, or the guards around the area will attack you.
Find Xiao Die’s Father
Your next objective is to find Xiao Die’s father, but this objective doesn’t have a happy ending. From your previous location, follow the shoreline northeast until you reach the small island marked on the map above. Investigate the surroundings to find a man dead on the shore. Check his body and pick up Xiao Die’s Sash quest item, after which you can bury him.
Visit Xiao Die again to the west of Shenze Landmark waypoint and give her the flatbread. She will ask about her father, after which you can give her the sash. She will then ask you if you have met her father, and you can choose to lie to her or tell her the truth. There are no repercussions for your choice, and this will effectively end the quest too.
