Palace in the Air is a side quest in the Wandering Tale storyline of Where Winds Meet. In this quest, players will have to help Wu Lin find the mythic Celestial Palace. This guide includes information on how to start the quest, where to locate Wu Lin’s boat, the different objectives needed for completing the story, and what rewards you will receive after quest completion.
How to Unlock Palace in the Air
You will be able to start the Palace in the Air Wandering Tale by looking for an old man named Wu Lin who is alone on a little boat traveling on the waters around Millennium Crossing in the Shenze region of Hidden Mountain. His boat follows a certain course and can be located to the east of the Shenze Wayfarer during Yin Hour.
When you reach the location of the boat and can’t find it there immediately, you will need to go back to the title screen of the game and then load your save. This will refresh the game area and the boat will become visible to you.
Speak With Wu Lin
As soon as the ship comes into view, get on the boat and speak to Wu Lin. He will tell you about his numerous endeavors in the search of the unknown Celestial Palace, entrusting you with the task of finding it later. Immediately after the conversation finishes, the next objective becomes accessible.
Investigate the Palace in the Air
Head toward the Palace in the Air area and continue on with the quest. Move from the previous campfire and cross the bridge until you finally reach the big gate. When you reach that point, it will advance your Wandering Tale and you will get another clue.
At this point, the objective marker might not show up. If that’s the case, just keep going until you reach the next Teleportation Stone and go on with your task.
You may even need to go to some other places and wait for some in-game time for the next stage to become available.
Return to Millennium Crossing
After moving forward in the quest, use fast travel to return to Millennium Crossing and travel towards the marked location. Upon arrival, you will find out that Wu Lin has already died. Go and talk to Old Ren, where he will reveal the story of Wu Lin and the pursuit of the Celestial Palace. After the conversation ends, the Palace in the Air Wandering Tale is complete.
