You will need Dragon Tooth as a crafting material to create the Dragon Scaled Armor. To get Dragon Tooth, you need to hunt down and kill any Dragon, Drake, or Dreki. There is only a handful of them you can find during your travels, and most of them can be found while completing quests. If you manage to complete the quest called For Vanaheim, you will unlock an optional area in Vanaheim where you can battle Crimson the Dread. You can also complete the quest Freya’s Missing Peace to cross paths with a Dreki at the end of the shrine, just before you can board the boat.

You can come across a dragon in the desert area of Alfheim, near an area where you can spot a large ornate door. Once you go through the door, you will encounter the Gravel Belly, and upon fighting it you can gather some Dragon Tooth, as well as other Dragon materials. And last, you will have to eventually fight Nidhogg, a large dragon creature boss guarding the World Tree Roots, and the Crag Jaw in the later parts of the game. If you manage to tackle all dragons, you can unlock the Dragon Slayer trophy.
