God Of War Ragnarok: Draupnir Spear’s Best Runic Attacks

The God of War Ragnarok surprised us all with a new weapon, the Draupnir Spear. It’s based on a multiplying ring from Norse mythology. The spear is faster than Kratos’ other weapons and has explosive tips that can stun and damage enemies.

The Draupnir Spear has special attacks, just like Kratos’ other weapons. But with so many options, it can be hard to choose the best combination of light and heavy attacks. Which one is the strongest?

8. Huldra Charge (Light)

Kratos can throw the Draupnir Spear at a long distance, impaling his enemy. He then pulls it out, absorbing the enemy’s element. You can upgrade this attack so Kratos is protected by a wind shield during the charge, making it harder for enemies to hurt him.

Even after upgrading, this attack is not the strongest. But it’s still useful because it lets Kratos reach his enemies safely from a distance. This means enemies can’t have an advantage in God of War: Ragnarok.

7. Whisper Of The World (Light)

Kratos starts spinning the Draupnir Spear around him as he creates a shockwave which draws the enemies towards him. He then attacks them with the spear, throwing them backwards to create enough time for him to attack again.

You can upgrade the Whisper of the World attack to level 3 for 8,000 XP. This will make it stronger, but it also has a downside. When you use this attack, it pushes the enemies back into a distance, so they can attack Kratos from a distance.

6. Mountain Splitter (Light)

The Mountain Splitter attack is not very powerful, but it’s still useful. You can use it against many enemies at once if they are close together. You can also hit them multiple times from far away.

This attack is good for knocking enemies down, which is helpful for finishing them off. It also pushes enemies away, giving you space or letting you use the environment to kill them.

5. Vindsvalr’s Windstorm (Heavy)

Kratos can spin the Draupnir Spear, making a storm of whirlwinds that damage all the enemies adjacent to it. You can make this attack stronger by upgrading it, which will create more, bigger, and longer-lasting whirlwinds.

While this attack can be very powerful, especially if timed on stunned enemies, sometimes it’s hard to hit specific targets because those cyclones are actually pretty tough to pin down as they move around erratically and you won’t hit enemies directly often.

4. The Finger Of Ruin (Heavy)

The Finger of Ruin attack is tough to unlock because you have to find all the ravens in the game. But it’s worth it because it’s one of the strongest attacks. It’s like the Windstorm attack, but it’s just one big cyclone that moves forward and throws enemies up into the air.

The cyclone will keep moving forward, pushing enemies with it. While it might not hurt them as much as other attacks, it’s great for controlling a group of enemies. The Draupnir Spear itself isn’t the strongest weapon, but it’s the fastest. If you want to do more damage, you might want to use another weapon.

3. Artillery Of The Ancients (Heavy)

Kratos throws the Draupnir Spear into the air, and it splits into many smaller spears that rain down from the sky. The more you upgrade this attack, the more spears will fall and the longer they will last, causing a lot of damage.

Even though this attack is strong, it’s not very useful because the spears fall in one spot. Enemies can easily avoid the attack, and the spears might miss them completely.

2. Honor The Fallen (Heavy)

Honor the Fallen is a simple attack that lets you jump forward and hit multiple enemies at once. It’s not the strongest attack, but it can be helpful if you can hit several enemies at the same time. You can make it stronger by holding down the button.

The attack will also knock enemies back, giving you space and making it easier to hit them again. This is especially useful in Muspelheim, where you often need to keep enemies away from you. The Draupnir Spear is great for pushing enemies back, which is why many of its attacks are helpful in this area.

1. Thrust Of A Thousand Soldiers (Light)

Thrust of a Thousand Soldiers is a strong attack that can stun enemies. It lets you stab an enemy multiple times, and if you’ve attached explosive tips to the spear, you can explode them later.

This attack is great for fighting bosses because it does a lot of damage and can stun them. You can use it to stop a Berserker from using a powerful attack, and the explosives can also help you avoid getting hit.

You can combine these special attacks to deal a lot of damage to your enemies quickly. Or you can switch between the special attacks for all of Kratos’ weapons and use his other skills.
