Apep is a weekly boss, and defeating them will drop various rewards. To unlock Apep, you first need to reach adventure rank 40 and complete Nahida’s Act 2 Story Quest: Homecoming. You can get this quest after completing a prior Archon quest called Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises – Chapter III: Act V. After you have completed Nahida’s second story quest, a new waypoint will appear that will take you directly to Apep. The waypoint can be found at the edge of The Desert of Hadramaveth, in The Realm of Beginnings domain.
How to Defeat Guardian of Apep’s Oasis in Genshin Impact 3.6
There are three phases to the boss fight, and there will be several enemies spawning frequently. It is best to use characters that can cause single and multi-attacks. Raiden and Xingqiu are two characters that can cause both damage types, or going for Ganyu’s charged attacks and Nahida’s elemental attacks are also very helpful. For support, you can use Xiangling, Bennett, Diona, or Kokomi.
Phase 1 Guardian of Apep Oasis
This phase is quite straightforward, as you will face Apep directly. Just keep attacking it till it triggers phase 2. Do keep a lookout for Apep’s wide attacks that can knock you out.
Phase 2 Guardian of Apep Oasis
You will be tasked with protecting and filling up the Heart of Oasis. Defeating all the newly spawned enemies will help fill it up, but if the Heart gets attacked then it will lose whatever it has stored. As a tip, go for the bigger enemies first, as they tend to shield the smaller enemies.
Phase 3 Guardian of Apep Oasis
During the final stage, Apep will summon an AoE called Aftershocks of the Apocalypse. You can quickly avoid them by taking shelter inside the Shields of Revival’s Hymn. Keep trying to hit Apep and lower its health to complete the round. You will receive an achievement for your efforts, “Like the Sun’s Passage”.
