1. The very first and classic solution is to repair any missing or corrupted game files. To do so: Go to Steam Library >> Right-click on Sons of The Forest >> Properties >> Local Files >> Verify the integrity of game files. 2. Running the game as an administrator should be your next move to fix the issue. Here is how you can do it:

For this: Go to Windows Security >> Virus and Threat Protection >> Virus and Threat Protection Settings >> Manage Controlled Folder Access and then either go to Block History or Allow an App through Controlled Folder Access and allow Sons of The Forest.exe to have folder access.

5. The last option is to uninstall the game and then reinstall it and check if the issue is resolved.
