But unfortunately, things have not been going so well since its release as many players have been struggling to get on the game from day one. Lately, some players are also reporting that their merge accounts are not working in Overwatch 2.

That means, if you have more than two accounts on a single platform and are trying to merge them, make sure you are using the proper account. However, there are a few workarounds you can try to resolve this issue.

1. The merge accounts are not working in Overwatch 2 because you may have not linked your console account to your Battle.net account. So, first of all, make sure both of your accounts are linked, and then try again. However, if you have already linked them and still you are facing the issue, try the following workarounds to get the issue fixed. To link, go through the following steps:

– Login to Overwatch from your console account

– Follow some on-screen instructions and then scan a QR Code on your smartphone

– Enter the code shown on the console and connect or create your Blizzard Battle.net account

3. One of the users suggested on Blizzard forums that you need to play enough games until the arcade/competitive mode doesn’t have any unlocked or overlay. Then restart your game and when in the loading process, it will ask for the account merging, then you can link up your accounts. There will be a long queue but it has worked for some players so give it a try.

4. If the above methods don’t work, your last resort is to contact their support team. For that, you need to open up a support ticket by visiting this link. And explain the issue in detail. Their support team will help you as soon as possible.
