1. One of the first tricks is to delete your Deck and create the new one manually and check if you are still encountering this error.

2. The next method we suggest is to leave the event and play the game again.

3. If that also didn’t do the trick, try restarting your gaming device as well as the Battle.net client. This way, any corrupted data or files can be fixed.

4. Make sure there is no issue with your internet connection. Try restarting your modem/router once and check. You can also try switching your connection from WiFi to wired and then check if you are still receiving the error “There was an error starting your game” in Hearthstone.

5. At times, you need to clear out bad cached network data by resetting your battle.net account password via the website and after that restart the game.

6. Adding the game as an exception in the Firewall settings is also one of the possible solutions you should try. For this:
