Destiny 2 is one of the biggest ongoing video games out there and this game has gathered millions of players from around the world. When you are on PlayStation, Xbox, Stadia, or PC, you can now make a team with your friends from other gaming platforms. That means, you can play with all of your friends and that doesn’t matter what gaming platform they are on. However, recently players are not able to enjoy Destiny 2 with their friends with Crossplay functions due to some issues that occurred about the latest update.
How to Fix Destiny 2 Crossplay Not Working after Latest Update
Specifically, most of the Xbox console users are suddenly appearing as blocked after the latest update 3.1.1 and so they can’t join other players through Crossplay.
One solution is shared by a player on Reddit. He suggested adding your friend on the Destiny app or Bungie.net and then restart your game once they accept your request and the issue should be resolved.
If that doesn’t work, do not worry, try the following solution meanwhile which is shared by Bungie Support itself.
Devs said to update the following settings and the issue should be resolved
Go to the Settings >> General >> Online Safety & Family >> Privacy & Online Safety >> Xbox Privacy >> View Details and Customize >> Communication and Multiplayer >> Set “You can join cross-network play” to “Allow” >> Set “You can communicate outside of Xbox with voice & text” to “Everybody” >> and then clear the console cache.
In addition, if you want to take benefits of LFG features, you can change your “Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites” settings.
That’s it – These are the only workarounds you can try to fix Destiny 2 Crossplay Not Working after the latest update. However, the good news is that the developer, Bungie Support, has already acknowledged this bug happening to Xbox players in particular. Also, they have shared the above workaround which you can try meanwhile we have its permanent solution.
