Warzone 2 DMZ New Faction, Barter System, Active Duty Operator Slots, and Workbench Explained
There was a lot of rumor and speculation in the CoD community that Season 3 of the game will not reset the mission progress and that no new missions will be introduced. The devs have put to rest all the speculation in a recent blog post on the official website. The new season will have a new faction mission like previous seasons and overhaul all the past missions. Here is everything you need to know.
Warzone 2 DMZ Barter System
The Barter System in Warzone 2 DMZ was one of the most requested features by players as similar games have this feature, but the Barter System in the game will disappoint some players as the newly introduced system does not allow you to bargain and exchange items with other players. Instead, you can do this at the Buy Station. Nevertheless, this is a great feature added to the game for players who love to hoard resources. And peer-to-peer swapping of items or trade is still possible if you find a friendly operator or with the operators in your team.
You won’t be able to get any item you want at the buy station, but the devs say that you will be able to get what you need.
Warzone 2 DMZ Workbench – How It Works
The workbench in DMZ season 3 can be found near Buy Stations and will allow you to tune and customize the weapons. You can only modify your contraband weapons, and it will work the same way you customize weapons in the lobby. You will be required to pay a nominal Cash fee to act and can equip or remove any piece of attachment that you have unlocked.
Warzone 2 DMZ Active Duty Operator Slots
Active Duty Operator Slots essentially mean you can drop into a game with one operator and extract with items such as three-plate armor, self-revives, gas mask, large backpack, and kill streak. You can then save the operator for more challenging missions like Building 21. You will have three operators at the start of the Season and should be able to unlock more, like the weapons slot. This would mean that you do not have to drop the extracted gear in the last mission, unlike the previous seasons. You can use another operator and save extracted gear with the operator to use tactically.
Warzone 2 DMZ New Faction and Missions
The new season brings the REDACTED faction that has three tiers of missions, and two more missions tiers will drop in season. The old faction missions will also be overhauled, and there will be some new contracts in DMZ that you can go after for rewards. One of the new contracts is the Secure Supplies Contract. Going after this contract will allow you to regain your build when you failed to extract it in the last run.
Besides the above changes, there is much more to look forward to in Season 3 of DMZ and Warzone 2. Two new bosses are tied to the new faction, and there are new backpacks and plate carrier types.
