Dying Light 2 players have the opportunity to craft their own items and use them in the game with the help of various items they find in-game called Craft Parts. These are scattered throughout the open-world survival horror game and players can collect them to make useful tools and weapons, in addition to being able to purchase them. This guide will take you through the process of crafting Throwing Knives in Dying Light 2.
How to Craft Throwing Knives in Dying Light 2
While players can collect weapons and gear from the missions they finish, they also can craft their own. Throwing knives are a weapon that can be thrown from a distance to attack enemies. While they won’t deal a lot of damage at once when you first get them, they can be a powerful contender once you upgrade your Throwing Knives.

This handy ranged weapon can only be unlocked after completing a certain story mission called “Markers of Plague”. Unlike some other items such as Exploding Arrows or Mines, you don’t need to find a craftmaster to buy the blueprint from. However once you have the blueprint, you do need to collect the Craft Parts to craft Throwing Knives.
Steps to Craft Throwing Knives
- Complete the main story mission called “Markers of Plague” to receive the blueprint for Throwing Knives as a reward.
- The only craft parts you need to have are 10 Scraps and 1 Rag which are easily available throughout the game. You will need to collect or already have these materials in your inventory to begin to craft the item.
- Go to the Character Menu and select Throwing Knives to craft it.
Once you have Throwing Knives you can throw them at your enemies from a distance. Our recommendation is to upgrade them to make a solid hit on the health of your enemy. If you need to run from enemies in-game, check out our guide on How to Sprint Faster in Dying Light 2.
