To find the portcrystal in Misty Marshes, you need to find the Forested Griffin’s Nest. You can find Misty Marshes if you travel west of Vernworth and northeast of Checkpoint Rest Town.The nest is located at the edge of Misty Marshes and marked on the map above. The trek to the area can be dangerous, so get your best weapons and pawns before heading there. Once you find the nest, explore inside it to find the crystal nestled between some trinkets and bags of gold. You can pick up your free Portcrystal and place it in any location of your choosing.

The best places where you can place your free Portcrystal is around Bakbattahl or at the Volcanic Island Camp / Excavation Site. Bakbattahl is a region that you need to visit frequently, but unfortunately offers no portcrystals. The Volcanic Island Camp offers plenty of loot and also offers quests, so you might need to visit this location frequently as well. Luckily there are several other ways to get the portcrystal for free, such as by completing quests, solving riddles, or purchasing one from a merchant.
