Main Game Gorechimera Location in Dragon’s Dogma 2
To find Black Freakish Mane, you need to hunt down the Gorechimera boss. Locating the Gorechimera requires a bit of luck if you haven’t reached the post game section of Dragon’s Dogma 2. Make your way to Waterfall Cave to find the Gorechimera. Waterfall Cave is located east of the Borderwatch Outpost. You will reach the Outpost during the quest Tale’s Beginning. There are two paths that lead to the cave’s entrance. It doesn’t matter if you take the northern or eastern entrance, as they both lead to Waterfall Cave. Explore the cave till you find a large area with the Gorechimera boss inside
How to Get Gorechimera to Appear in Dragon’s Dogma 2 Main Game
If you are at a lower level or haven’t progressed that far into the game, then you might just encounter the normal Chimera inside Waterfall Cave. To trigger the Gorechimera to appear, you need to progress even more. Sometimes it appears after the coronation quest, or after completing the quest that leads to Battahl. You have to revisit the cave frequently while completing the main story quests to find the Gorechimera. There is another way to get the Gorechimera to spawn, and that is to beat the normal Chimera. Once the Chimera is dead, visit the Waterfall Cave after a few weeks to find the Gorechimera. Finding the Gorechimera during your first gameplay can be tricky, so it all depends on luck and trail and error
Post Game Gorechimera Location in Dragon’s Dogma 2
If you have reached Unmoored World, then you can spot a Gorechimera in the wild. You have to go to the location where Medusa is located, in western Battahl. There is a sleeping Gorechimera on the dirt path that was once a river. Follow the path till you reach the above location to find it

I’m in NG+ and the area in Battahal where the Gorechimera is still has water. I also tried the waterfall cave option 4 times and I keep getting the regular gorechinera with the normal Maine.
You will have to unlock the postgame Unmoored World to find the lands barren of water, and you can spot the Gorechimera there
