Players would be invited to pick between a guy and a lady at the start of the game. Igor will be the one to invite you to pick a character for the Velvet Room. Players can select whomever they like because it has no effect on the game; only some objectives in the Velvet Room will differ based on the character they choose. If they pick a woman, Elizabeth will be their in-game character; if they choose a male, Theodore will be their default character; the only difference between the two characters is their personality. There is not much difference between their in-game tactics as they both follow almost the same route.

In the male route, he has no social links with his SEES teammates, and he only gets to know them through the game.

She has social links with every teammate on her SEES team.

She talks more with the females of her SEES team.
