To get a pet, you have to head over to The Altar of Hope and visit the Intrepid Coast. Once you are here, check under the Companion section to find a pet. You need to splurge your Candles of Hope to unlock the pet, then head over to the first inn Provisioner you encounter to purchase it for 1 relic. These pets will appear at random in the inn’s shop, so you have to visit often and get them. There are 10 pets you need to unlock, and each will cost various levels of Candles. Below is a list of all the pets and the cost for each.

  • Orphan Wolf Cub – 5 Candles of Hope
  • Pygmy Pliskin – 10 Candles of Hope
  • Unnatural Owlet – 15 Candles of Hope
  • Reanimated Rabbit – 25 Candles of Hope
  • Mucilaginous Slime – 35 Candles of Hope
  • Shrieker Chick – 45 Candles of Hope
  • Larval Carrion Eater – 60 Candles of Hope
  • Hatchling Crocodilian – 95 Candles of Hope
  • Crimson Tick – 105 Candles of Hope
  • Shambler’s Spawn – 155 Candles of Hope

You can equip one pet per round, so you have to choose the pet depending on its buff carefully. To equip your pet, head into the Wainwright section in the Provisioner’s Inn, then click and drag the pet you want from the inventory to the Stagecoach’s empty slot. If you are confident of your selection, hit confirm to use them in your journey.
