Genshin Impact Version 3.3 is already known to be releasing their new permanent game mode- Genius Invokation TCG which is a trading card game within the world of Teyvat itself and something our Travelers can participate in from now on. Recently a trailer was released teasing the game mode in the famous Cat’s Tail Bar in Mondstadt which we’ve already heard a lot about from Diona.

The Cat’s Tail & Genius Invokation TCG in Genshin Impact 3.3

Genshin Impact Version 3.3 will open the Cat’s Tail Bar in Mondsatdt where we will have our first experiences with the TCG. The featured characters in the trailer include Diona, Fischl and Sucrose but we also see glimpses of Diluc, Ganyu and even Cyno in the Cat’s Tail.

Character cards and card animations of Noelle, Jean, Diluc, Keqing and other such playable characters were also shown. We also got a glimpse of a Nobushi card attack animation and we have to say: the hype is real. Usually players wouldn’t expect such attention to detail and dedicated card animations for so many playable cards but Genshin Impact has once again surprised us with the teaser trailer. 

In the trailer, Traveler and Paimon go inside Cat’s Tail and we meet Diona who wishes to teach us about Genius Invokation TCG. Traveler is challenged by Fischl to a game and Sucrose watches on. We see the d8 dice animation too and we’re glad to know this game will be purely based on luck- not builds or investments.

We still don’t know how we obtain these cards and players are expecting these to be hidden in chests just like how furnishings come in Remarkable Chests. That would mean the more one has explored the world of Teyvat, the more cards they will have which in turn will boost their roster. The rules will be explained to us when the event officially drops in Version 3.3- are you excited?
