Unfortunately, you cannot save Blaidd from his fate of succumbing to madness. After being rejected by Ranni, Blaidd gets heartbroken and will start attacking you when you meet him towards the end of his side quest. The only way to save him is to kill him. Killing him will mark the end of his side quest and you can get several rewards off his corpse.
Blaidd’s questline gets intertwined with Ranni’s questline, so you can encounter him throughout her quest. He is one of Ranni’s summons when you meet her for the first time at Ranni’s Rise. Blaidd seems to be close to Iji as well, as Iji correctly predicted that Blaidd will go mad if Ranni rejects him as a consort. Due to this, it is wise to kill him when you encounter him for the last time
