The weapons in Blasphemous 2 have increased from 1 (the previous game) to 3. Here are the 3 weapons now available in-game:
- Ruego Al Alba
- Sarmiento & Centella
- Veredicto
Ruego Al Alba is a normal sword that has a special ability called Blood Pact which allows players to sacrifice some HP for more powerful range attacks. This provides players with a range attack as it is one of the shortcomings of using a sword. Even the lost HP can be recovered with another ability called the Covenant of Atonement skill which recovers HP slowly.
Sarmiento and Centella is a dual-blade weapon that provides players with swift and fast gameplay. Players using this weapon have higher attack and movement speed. It also has a skill where players will have a meter system when filled will allow players to deal with additional lighting-based slashes. The only shortcoming is that if players get hit, the meter energy will be drained.
Veredicto is a heavy weapon and the slowest weapon to wield but it deals a lot of damage to compensate for it. Players can even have an ability where the weapon will be on fire and deal extra damage to the enemies when players get a hit.
It is recommended to start the game with Rurgo Al Alba as this weapon has both long and close-range abilities. The Sword also has passive heals with some skills as well, which is good for starting players. Players will eventually get all the 3 weapons in the campaign but it is recommended to start with the Sword or the Heavy gun as they are not complicated and provide straightforward action to the players.
