Before the mage completes the ritual on Sarin’s corpse, you need to complete the skeleton by finding the missing skull. Luckily, you don’t need to venture out too far. From the skeleton’s location, make your way northwest towards X:-159; Y:946. You will come across the entrance to the Temple of Bhaal here. If you check the stairs near the area, you will notice a silent vendor. There is a pouch near the vendor that you need to pick up, but he won’t let you see his wares. There are two ways to go about this. You can either kill him and rummage through his stuff, or use stealth to get behind. Whichever way you pick, you should have the pouch now. Check the pouch to obtain the skull. A headless ghost NPC will also appear, and it will guide you back to the corpse.

Interact with Sarin’s Skeleton and pop the skull into the right place to complete the puzzle. For your efforts, you will receive a Magic Amulet that offers the Innate Fortitude effect. This will make a character react with Advantage for one Attack Roll or Saving Throw. This restocks after a long rest.
