The Bubbly Basin DLC is an underwater world that is filled with Pokémon and exclusive decorations. But before you get into habitat creation in the underwater world of Bubbly Basin, you have to make sure that you have unlocked Bubbly Basin through the quests and acquired the Dive skill. In Bubbly Basin, there are 36 unique habitats that have different requirements for decoration. This guide will tell you how to unlock Bubbly Basin and its habitats.
How to Unlock Bubbly Basin
Keep completing the missions offered by Professor Tangrowth on Bleak Beach until you get the Raise the Environment Level mission. Make sure to finish it before proceeding, because this mission must be completed in order to access the DLC area. In case you have not bought the DLC already, you should do it now. Firstly, save the game and exit it entirely. After that, open the Nintendo eShop, buy the Bubbly Basin DLC and wait for it to install.
Visit Professor Tangrowth at Bleak Beach. Have a quick talk with him and an island will appear on your map. Go to the new island, and you will see that Manaphy is trapped there alone. Speak to Manaphy and give 5 pieces of Seaweed to it. After assisting Manaphy, it will teach you the Dive move.
Return to the Poké Centre on Bleak Beach and speak to Popplio. Once the conversation is completed, make your way to the back part of Bleak Beach where there is a big rock. Dive into the water close to the big rock to locate the hidden entrance to Bubbly Basin.
Open the underwater entrance for Popplio, and you’ll officially unlock Bubbly Basin. You can now freely explore the new underwater town, discover new Pokémon habitats, complete quests, and uncover all of its hidden secrets.
How To Unlock Bubbly Basin Habitats
The addition of the Bubbly Basin brings with it 36 completely fresh habitats for you to design and explore. Since many of these habitats need special furniture that is only present in the DLC, you will have to collect all this furniture to get all Pokémon.
