To obtain the Hermit’s Cabin Deed in ArcheAge Chronicles, players need to go to Diamond Shores, kill the Melancholy Clarus and finish the Keeper of the Hut. Moreover, on completion, they will have access to the Nui Statue which provides two Trait Points. Here’s how to find Clarus, defeat him, and collect the land deed.
Melancholy Clarus Location

Go to the western part of Diamond Shores where there is a tiny fortress. Take the road up to the fortress and enter it. This will activate the boss fight with the Melancholy Clarus and the Keeper of the Hut quest.

Before you start the fight, you should check the fort for hidden items. You can find a letter, a treasure chest where the recipe for making Reinforced Throwing Daggers is located, and a Nui Tear in the area of the waterfall.
How to Beat Melancholy Clarus

Melancholy Clarus uses standard melee attacks and axe throws. Watch out for his consecutive axe throws, as he can throw two axes back to back. When his health drops to around 50%, he starts throwing three axes. The fight can be challenging if you use heavy armor, as although it reduces incoming damage, it also consumes considerable stamina when moving, attacking, and dodging.
Defeat Clarus to progress through the Keeper of the Hut quest. The initial quest completion rewards 2,500 EXP and 150 Gold. Completing the subsequent objective grants another 5,000 EXP and 1,000 Gold. After completing the quest, you can unlock the Nui Statue and receive 2 Trait Points.
How to Get the Hermit’s Cabin Land Deed

After defeating Clarus and unlocking the Nui Statue, leave the area and return to the Hermit’s Cabin. The cabin will have changed, and you will find a Blacksmith there. You can also collect an LP pickup from the location. Head to the back of the cabin to find the Hermit’s Cabin Land Deed. Make sure to collect both items before leaving.
