In the quest, Fingers will tell you that he will only consider you useful if you manage to steal a precious ring from the chest belonging to Scatty. A Ring for Fingers Quest
First, have a conversation with Diego and pick the dialogue choice “Who can teach me skills around here?” After that, go to see Fingers and tell him that you were referred by Diego. Fingers can be located at the north end of Old Camp near the building with two huge red banners. Have a conversation with Fingers and say that you are in search of people who can speak for you. Having heard your words, he will give you a quest named A Ring for Fingers.
Fingers tells you that he needs to do you a favour to help you with the task. Pick “I’ll take care of it.” to agree to Fingers’ favour and continue the quest. Fingiers needs you to steal a ring from the chest belonging to Scatty. The chest will be found in the small hut near Scatty.
Picking the chest’s lock would amount to theft, and it is better to wait till Scatty moves away in the morning.
