Dehya is a 5-star Pyro Claymore character in Genshin Impact. She is a fierce and strong warrior, known as the “Flame-Mane” among the Eremites of Sumeru. She was a former member of the Corps of Thirty, a mercenary group that fought for freedom and justice. She was released as a playable character in Version 3.5 but her kit was already leaked and players dreaded it.
She’s been one of our companions since Sumeru dropped way back in Version 3.0. She played a significant part in Sumeru’s Archon Quest and players loved both her design and personality. Naturally, players anticipated her release as a playable character. When the time finally came for it, players dreaded her release due to how bad her kit was. However, according to some leaks, after several complaints and unhappy customers, Hoyoverse has finally decided to buff her and bring in some kit changes. In the following article, we’ll go over these leaks and what they could mean for her character.
Dehya’s Incoming Buff Leaks in Genshin Impact
Dehya has a high base HP and can provide consistent off-field Pyro damage with her skills. She is also one of the few characters who can reposition her Elemental Skill. As a party member, her role is damage reduction and damage mitigation. She only goes into DPS mode during her Elemental Burst which only lasts for about 4 seconds and deals continuous Pyro Burst DMG to opponents.
According to leaks, Dehya will be getting her Skill attack interval decreased, as well as an overall scalar buff. This will supposedly bring up her damage numbers closer to players’ expectations.
The leak also states that her Constellation 1 will be added or merged in some way with her Ascension Passive 1. This means she will likely get an added bonus HP% and an additional HP scaling for her damage numbers. This will further increase her damage numbers. What this also means is that she will get an entirely new C1.
According to another leak, this new C1 will incorporate her Ascension 4 Passive which has a self-heal feature. Her new C1 will trigger something every time Dehya self-heals- this could be a party-wide buff, a shield or something called immunity or invulnerability. It’s unlikely for this new feature to be a shield since it would negate the effects of her signature weapon and her kit. Immunity or invulnerability could just mean more interruption resistance or something new entirely that will only show its value in Fontaine against that region’s enemies.
Leaks say Fontaine will have enemies that will negate shields and will be able to deal damage even when we have shields on. Here, immunity or invulnerability could come in very handy and act as a perfect counter to Fontaine’s enemies. Many players already believe that Dehya was meant for Fontaine and that’s where her true value will shine. These new leaks plus the fact that these buffs will come to effect in Version 3.8 or 4.0 indicates that this could actually be a true theory. Dehya-havers and Dehya-wanters could be seeing a bright future ahead.
