To find the Lost Archives dungeon, you need to head over to Desolate Highlands in Fractured Peaks. It is a level 55 dungeon and doesn’t require any prerequisite to unlock it. You can quickly find this dungeon if you head southwest of Nevesk. You will soon spot an abandoned library filled with various beasts and unworldly beings inside.
To clear the Lost Archives dungeon in Diablo 4, you need to complete the following objectives.
- Slay 2 Demonic Vanguards: Demonic Vanguards will spawn at different areas of the dungeon. You will encounter them as you go in and explore. You need to slay two of them to progress through the next objective.
- Return two Mechanical Boxes to the Pedestal: There is a Necromancer’s Coffin in the center of the dungeon, and to activate it you need to retrieve two Mechanical Boxes. You can check your map to find the boxes and bring them to the coffin.
- Activate the Necromancer’s Coffin: After placing both mechanical boxes, you can interact with the Necromancer’s Coffin to activate it
- Defeat the Spiritcaller of Frost: After activating the coffin, the final boss of the dungeon will spawn. Beat the Spiritcaller of the Frost to clear the dungeon.
How to Beat the the Spiritcaller of Frost Boss in Diablo 4
This is the final boss that will spawn in the Lost Archives dungeon in Diablo 4. The Spiriticaller of Frost will fight using frost debuffs and minions. It will spew ranged frost projectiles to hit you, and also summon pillars that will help reflect these projectiles. The best way to defeat the boss is to have plenty of AoE attacks and keep moving. If you could activate the shrines before you interact with the coffin and free the boss, then you can get certain boosts from it. Having the best gear and weapons also help, as well as healing consumables. The boss itself is not too hard to tackle, but you would have a hard time trying to bring its health down considerably.
For your hard work, you will receive 5 Grim Favors and the legendary Aspect of the Protector.
