Genshin Impact Version 3.7 Special Program and Livestream dropped yesterday and as expected this will be a slow patch since we’re not getting any new 5-star characters or weapons. That said, we are finally going to be able to meet a playable Fontaine character featured in the primary event quest of the upcoming update- Duel! The Summoners’ Summit where we will be participating in the King of Invokations Grand Prix- a Genius Invokation TCG event.
Genshin Impact Version 3.7 is scheduled to be released on May 24, 2023, and it can primarily be called a TCG update since we’re getting a ton of new TCG cards including playable Archon cards of all the Archons we’ve met until now. The developers of Genshin Impact pay close attention to player comments and feedback and implement their recommendations in future updates. In Version 3.7, the developers are finally smoothening out Genshin Impact’s TCG system which has become rather lacklustre since its release.
According to trusted leaks and sources, we’re getting two new nodes focusing on PvP (Player versus Player) and PvE (Player versus Enemy) which earlier uses to be difficult to access from one place. Hopefully, with the new changes, players can easily switch game modes to play desired opponents.
Version 3.7 will be a blast for all players who are a sucker for the characters and character introductions since characters from all over Teyvat (at least the places we’ve explored) will be in attendance at this upcoming new event- which is being treated as a festival of its own. While we may not encounter all of them as players, we can be sure of some plot twists and mysteries that will justify the presence of many others who are just there for investigation or security.
We’re also getting Kirara who’s in charge of a delivery service in Inazuma and she’s a 4-star Dendro sword user who will be available to us through the 5-star rerun event banners. Speaking of reruns- the 5 stars getting a rerun in this patch are as follows:
Kirara will be featured in the first phase banners alongside Yoimiya and Yae Miko.
Even though Kirara is a sword user, the limited-event free 4-star weapon from the TCG event will be the Ibis bow. The Ibis Piercer can be obtained from the TCG flagship which will also give us its refinement materials and Primogems among other things.
Players will be expected to take part in many TCG-themed events to get their free weapon and all the other juicy rewards. They can also take this time to complete or catch up on what’s left of their Sumeru exploration and quests since we all know most of us aren’t caught up with all the content. Version 3.7 will be a much-needed break from all the new areas, bosses and characters from previous patches as players can just sit back, relax and take their time with Sumeru in this patch.
