Alhaitham’s signature weapon is called Light of Foliar Incision. It’s a DPS sword for EM-scaling sword characters and its abilities and stats were recently announced officially on Genshin Impact’s Twitter. After a long time, we’re getting what looks like a broken DPS weapon that will hold universal value beyond its passive ability due to its stat value alone. Read on to see what’s so great about this weapon.
Light of Foliar Incision in Genshin Impact 3.4
At level 90, this beast of a weapon will give a respectable Base ATK of 542 and a staggering 88.2% CRIT DMG bonus. At refinement one, its passive also gives the user 4% CRIT Rate. The stats alone are enough to make any player drool but it only gets better.
Its passive ability increases the DMG of the user’s element-infused NAs and E skills by 120% of the user’s Elemental Mastery. That means any EM scaling or benefitting sword character will instantly become a main DPS with this sword. Or so we think until it’s released. This means with a 1000 EM, your NAs will deal a flat 1200 more DMG with this weapon equipped.
The Foliar Incision effect lasts for 12 seconds and you can trigger it only once every 12s. This means the passive ability has a 100% up-time on its effect provided you can consistently deal Elemental DMG with your NAs.
The weapon is handcrafted for Alhaitham of course but there are other characters that can also end up using it reliably- even if it’s only for the 88.2% CRIT DMG which alone should help you better balance your CRIT ratios on your sword units.
This weapon would also be great on Keqing. Her value already skyrocketed with the release of Dendro as she performed spectacularly in Quicken or Aggravate teams as a quick-swap DPS. Her E skill infuses her NAs with Electro for a short amount of time so she can definitely trigger this weapon’s passive. We wish all players who plan to pull for this sword a stroke of hearty good luck.
