While exploring the map, you will come across yellow and gold marking on some walls. There doesn’t seem to be a way to do anything, but you will be able to do so once you have progressed through a certain part of the game. This is part of the main story mission, so you will definitely not be missing it. Once you have reached this part of the game, you will be able to use the yellow cracks.
