Genshin Impact has already announced the two new playable characters in Version 3.3. Scaramouche or as per his official playable name- Wanderer is a 5-star Anemo DPS while Faruzan is a 4-star Anemo support similar to what Sara was to Raiden Shogun. Wanderer is thus naturally expected to get his own best-in-slot signature weapon in the upcoming update. We’re also getting another new 4-star weapon which will be a free event weapon from Inazuma. Read on and satisfy your curiosity!
New Weapons in Genshin Impact 3.3
The new weapons in Version 3.3 have had their names changed over the recent series of leaks so we can’t guarantee what they will be named but as for their effects and abilities, they remain largely the same. Their initial designs have also been leaked but ever since their names were changed, we aren’t sure if their designs were too. With that out of the way, for now, we’ll go by their initial names and designs.
Alaya
This catalyst is said to be Wanderer’s signature weapon and we can see how its colour palette suits the Wanderer’s design elements. As for its abilities, we have two versions which say essentially the same thing just with different numbers. The latest leak says the following:
As you can see, the weapon’s name has been changed to Tullaytullah’s Remembrance but the weapon essentially buffs Normal Attacks by a mile. By default, it increases the NA speed by 10% and after using your E, when your NAs hit enemies, they can get up to a total of 48% NA DMG buff over the duration of their E skill. Since Wanderer’s kit revolves around his E skill and NAs, it’s the perfect weapon for him. Since the weapon has a CRIT DMG secondary stat, this will also massively buff any user’s DPS.
Kasabouzu
This is the free 4-star sword players are expected to get from one of Inazuma’s upcoming events with Itto in Version 3.3. The weapon clearly has a Halloween theme to it but with a Japanese spin as its design references youkai which are creatures of the dark in Japanese folklore. Recent leaks have however changed its name to Floral Rainfall. As for its abilities, they are as follows:
The sword will have an Elemental Mastery secondary stat which is awesome for Sumeru’s sword characters already. The weapon passive suggests that it’s meant to shine in co-op or maybe Genshin is planning on releasing a whole new series of such weapons of which this is only the first.
The passive buffs the wielder’s damage by 32% at refinement 5 against opponents affected by this weapon’s mark. Overall this seems like a decent EM-focused DPS option for Sumeru’s sword characters or specifically Dendro sword characters which we currently have only one of- the Dendro Traveler. While the Dendro MC isn’t meant to be used as a DPS, this weapon will certainly allow that to some extent.
Considering one of the upcoming characters is Alhaitham who we already know to be a Dendro sword user, maybe this weapon will even be good on him. Regardless, design-wise, we’re certainly loving the Kasabouzu due to its fun, bright and colourful vibe and we hope we can use it on some of our already-built characters when it finally comes out.
