How is Ghost Alive?
It’s easy to explain why Ghost is still alive in Modern Warfare 2: Modern Warfare 2 is a continuation of a reboot, a sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019). As a result, Ghost’s death in the first game doesn’t matter because it happened in only one timeline, but it exists in another now.
Call of Duty featured Ghost in several iterations. Although Ghost wasn’t directly related to the story, he was still playable either as an Operator or referenced in easter eggs.
