Jack O’ Lanterns are an integral aspect of celebrating Halloween, so Epic Games also introduced them in Fortnite during the Fortnitemare Events. Destroy Jack O’ Lantern quest wants players to destroy five Lanterns with ranged weapons.
The quest is not tricky if you find the Jack O’ Lanterns. The tricky part is Jack O’ Lanterns are not found at every location. Only a few locations contain these Lanterns- Tilted Towers, Greasy Grove, Chrome Crossroads, and Shiny Sound. These areas have several Lanterns. Generally, you can find them outside of houses, and in some cases, you get them outside stores.
Ranged weapon means you can use Cobra DMR, Suppressed SMG, or any other shotgun. Don’t use Pistols. Otherwise, SMGs or Shotguns will count. Even the Evochrome weapons also work. These weapons are found plenty all over the map. You don’t even need to look for them. So, to complete this quest, land at any of the above-mentioned locations and get one SMG, Shotgun, or DMR. Locate a Jack O’ Lantern and shoot it with your ranged weapon. Repeat the process 5 times to complete the quest. Also, there is no rule that you must destroy 5 in a single match. You can take more than one match to complete this quest, and destroying the same Jack O’ Lanterns in different matches also counts.
