Genshin Impact has kicked their marketing campaign to high gear recently with all these new collaborations and the recent company they announced a collab with is Cadillac. While this caught many fans by surprise as it was unconventional and rather even out of the blue, Cadillac is a very popular American luxury car brand under General Motors so it made sense that Genshin would try riding on its fame and popularity.
The featured characters are Kazuha and Beidou since their general color palettes match Cadillac’s White, Red, and Black. They are even featured wearing formal western attire, and we do have to say they look quite dashing. The featured poster also hints at some Genshin designs in their car skins, and we are all for it.
Considering it was only announced in China, we can expect this Genshin collab to be limited to the Chinese region only. We even have some sample pictures of these cars as follows:
We can see there are only two color variants featuring this collab. We have a white SUV featuring Kazuha’s character with the red streak on his hair and the red and blue ribbon almost flowing out from him. This signifies his allegiance to Beidou and his valuable role in the crew. The darker variant has a bright red front and a blue back. Beidou, just like Kazuha, is featured on one side of the car in her usual attire from the Alcor.
Genshin Impact is widely popular in China so it makes sense for the company to go for so many collaborations. They’ve also recently collaborated with the Chinese merchant’s bank, featuring where you can get yourself a special Ganyu credit card with a cute art of Ganyu in glasses. Liben the merchant and Paimon has also collabed with.
They have even gone as far as to collab with the Chinese Government considering how in 2021, the Chinese Embassy in Japan made a Genshin comic talking about anti-fraud. In the 48th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil, both Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact were promoted which are both owned by the same parent company. Recently Genshin Impact’s music was also used in the last Beijing Olympics. At this rate, it’s not far until Genshin Impact collabs in western countries and expands its marketing in eastern markets too.
