Dinkum is a neat little farming game where you can plant crops and rear animals. There are other things that you can do in the game to pass the time and get resources which include foraging, bug hunting, fishing and mining. Some of these activities are seasonal, which means that there is a season system in place in the game. This guide will take you through how the seasons work in Dinkum.
What is the Season System in Dinkum?
The seasons system in Dinkum is quite similar to the ones in Animal Crossing or Don’t Starve which also have four seasons. If you’re confused about how seasons work in the game Dinkum, we have (almost) all the answers. The game is still in early access, and things might change later, but this is what it’s like so far.

There are four seasons in the game, and each lasts for 28 days in the game. The seasons are summer, autumn, winter and spring, and you will begin the game with summer. There are some crops that grow in specific seasons, while some others such as sugar cane and wheat grow all year around.
The critters and bugs that you can find in the game while foraging also depend on the season. You will notice the NPCs asking for different bugs, which means that the season has changed and there are new creatures available to catch. You will be able to collect new critters and add them to the museum, and get a lot more Permit Points as well.
When the last season ends and summer begins again, you have completed a full year in the game. This will send you into Year 2, which begins with summer. You will be able to continue with the items that you can forage in the summertime, and this will repeat every year.
