Raft is a Survival Game developed by Redbeet Interactive and released by Axolot Games. Whether you’re alone or in a group, your goal is to survive an epic maritime trip over a perilous sea. To survive, collect rubbish, build a raft, and be aware of the sea’s threats.
Players awaken on a vast, blue ocean with no coast in sight, imprisoned on a little raft equipped only with an old plastic hook. With a dry throat and an empty stomach, survival will be tough.
Our guide will teach you all about locating the important resource: Stone, for building Axe, Throwable Anchors and other items in the game.

What is Stone used for?
Stone is used in just a few recipes in Raft, but they are all essential in some way. The first items you’ll probably want to construct are a Stone Axe (for felling trees) and a Throwable Anchor (to keep your boat in place while exploring an island). Throwable Anchors can only be utilised once, so you’ll probably spend most of your early-game Stone on creating them.
Throwable Anchors are critical in the early game; if you don’t anchor your Raft, it will drift away and basically terminate your game. Always keep a spare Throwable Anchor available so that you may quickly anchor your Raft while approaching a new island.
Getting Stone in Raft
Stone in Raft may be obtained in two ways:
- Excavating it from the shallow seas around an island.
- It may be obtained as a random drop from Barrels or Crates.
- Getting it from a Trading Post.
You’ll probably acquire a few pieces of Stone from Barrels in the early game, but the shallow water surrounding an island will provide considerably more. Anchor your boat, dive into the ocean, and take one or two bits of Stone at a time before emerging — if you remain beneath too long, you’ll most likely be attacked by a shark.
Stone in Raft is best obtained by digging it up from the shallow seas around an island. Remember to anchor your Raft so it doesn’t drift away, and constantly keep an eye out for the dangerous Shark.
Maintain brief dives and keep your eyes open at all times; the Shark may be swimming right at you before you realise it. Continue reading our Raft game guides section to learn more about the game.
