The Goliath challenge in Modern Warfare 4 DMZ requires you to find the Colossus and hit him with specific equipment. Although the objective seems easy to complete, locating the boss and making sure you land on his throwing equipment may pose a big challenge. This is because the Colossus is very dangerous, having a minigun which can knock you down easily. Here’s how to find the Colossus and complete the Goliath challenge in MW4 DMZ.
Goliath Challenge Guide
In order to finish the Goliath mission in the DMZ mode of Modern Warfare 4, it is necessary to get a Thermite/Drill Charge and a Shock Charge and shoot the Colossus with them. Before starting a match, you have to go to the 3D Printer that is located in your Forward Operating Base (FOB). There you will be able to print out the Thermite, Drill Charge and Shock Charge. You may also try to find information on the Colossus at the Boss Bounty Board near your tent in the FOB.
Where to Find the Colossus
The Colossus can spawn in three different locations on the map:
- Wharf
- Village
- Mall
It should be noted that sometimes the Colossus does not spawn at all in these places. The spawn is random; therefore, you might have to visit several different spots in order to find him. Once you get close to the Colossus, a message will appear on your screen saying that he is nearby. You’ll also see a commander or lieutenant icon on your map. You can ping this icon to track his location.
How to Hit the Colossus With Thermite, Drill Charge, and Shock Charge
However, once you’ve found him, don’t run up to him. He has a devastating minigun which will knock you out in no time. Be sure that you have sufficient armour plates and always keep an eye on cover when approaching him. The key thing to note here is that you will have to stick the Colossus with your charges directly. Just chucking any of your Thermite, Drill, or Shock Charges near him doesn’t count towards the objective.
You will see an indicator telling you that you’ve managed to stick him with the charge. You will have to stick him with your Shock Charge and either one of the Drill or Thermite Charges to complete the Goliath challenge. Make sure you get close enough to throw your charges accurately without being exposed to the environment for too long. If you miss, you may try again with your other charges until you successfully stick him with your Shock Charge and either Thermite or Drill Charge.
Once you’ve successfully stuck the Colossus with both required charges, the Goliath challenge should be complete. You can then defeat him for additional rewards or head to an extraction point and leave the match.
